Need pildid on tehtud paar nädalat tagasi, siis kui meri oli jääs ja lund leidus veel kõikjal.  Jalutasime rannas ja püüdsime jäädvustada oma suurt ootust :)
Ühtlasi näitan hiljuti valminud õmblusprojekti, milleks on beebiasjade organiseerija võrevoodil. Kangas on 100% linane, lõike konstrueerisin ise töö käigus ja idee leidsin internetis tuhnides. Üheksa mahukat taskut on õmmeldud 60x60 cm suurusele kangale, mis kinnitub krõpsudega voodi külge. Esi- ja tagatüki vahele panin tugevduseks veel liimiriiet, et tulemus liiga lötsuks ei jääks. Aega võttis terve päeva :)

These pictures are taken few weeks ago when the sea was still under ice and snow was everywhere. We were taking a walk on the beach and tried to capture our big expectation :)
I am also showing you a recently finished sewing project which is a baby stuff organizer for the crib. The fabric is 100% linen, I constructed the cut myself on the fly and found the idea surfing in the internet. The nine big pockets are sewn on 60x60 cm fabric and it attatches on the crib with velcro. I put some laminated fabrics as reinforcement between the first and rear pieces so that the result wouldn't be too sprawled. Took me a whole day :)

Augusti alguses tähistasime oma esimest pulma-aastapäeva Prahas. Nautisime lõpuks ometi sel suvel kolmekümne kraadist kuumust. Jalutasime vanalinnas ning vaatasime üle kõik olulisemad vaatamisväärsused, matkasime Petrini künka otsa, külastasime roosiaedu, sõime trdelnikuid ja käsisime absindibaaris :) Tegime ka ühe väljasõidu Karlovy Varysse, kus maitsesime erinevatest kuumaveeallikatest termaalvett ja sõime spaavahvleid :)
Tagasi kodumaale jõudes oli ka siia saabunud kauaoodatud suvesoojus. Oleme veetnud viimased nädalavahetused maal, kus sai nii kartuleid võtta, metsas marjul käia kui ka niisama logeleda. Õmblesin Burda abiga peplumstiilis topi. Mulle tohutult meeldis see siidine lindudega kangatükk, mille Abakhanist leidsin ja värv on just nii kärts, et sobib kenasti suve lõppu päevitanud ihu kaunistama :) Mõnusat ja kuuma hilissuve !

At the beginning of August we celebrated our first wedding anniversary in Prague. We finally got a chance to enjoy a 30-degree heat this summer. We walked around the old town, saw all the most important landmarks, took a hike on top of the Petrin Hill, visited the rose gardens, ate trdelnik's and went to an absinthe bar :) We also took a trip to Karlovy Vary, where we tasted thermal spring water and ate spa wafers :)
When we got back to our home country it had gotten hot here also. We have spent the last few weekends at the countryside where we harvested potatoes, went picking berries in the forest and just hang around. I sewed a peplum top with the help of Burda. I really liked that silky piece of fabric with birds which I found in Abakhan. The color is vivid enough to decorate a tanned summer-end-body :) Have a hot late summer!

Otsustasin sõbranna pulmadeks uue kleidi õmmelda. Lõike leidsin Burdast, põnevad traksid seljal haarasid kohe tähelepanu. Õmblemine ei ole mul just tugevaim külg, kuid esmapilgul tundus, et saan selle lõikega hakkama. Lõpuks käis see mulle siiski veidi üle jõu, trakside sättimine ostus palju keerulisemaks. Aga suure pusimise tulemusel sai kleit õigeks ajaks selga. Kleidi istuvusega ma väga rahule ei jäänud, küll aga kangaga. See on ostetud mitukümmend aastat tagasi, katsudes tundub sile, siidine ning jahe. Ideaalne palaval päeval, kuid kahjuks kortsub väga kiiresti. Peol sain tantsupõrandal  palju keerutada, et demostreerida kui hästi langev ja lendlev mu seelikusaba on :)
Kitsed ja kaunid õied on pärit vanaema aiast. Hetkel naudime täiel rinnal suve ja varsti kirjutan meie rattamatkast ka lähemalt.

Decided to sew a new dress for my friend's wedding. I found a cut from Burda, the backpart caught my attention immediately. Sewing is not my strongest side, though at first it felt like I can handle the cut. Finally it was a bit too much for me to get the strips right. But after a long hustle I got the dress ready for the right time. I was not satisfied how the dress sat on me, but I was pleased with the fabric. It is bought a couple of decades ago, feels smooth to the touch, silky and cool. Perfect on a hot day, but unfortunately it shrivels quickly. At the party I got to swirl on the dancefloor a lot and so I could demonstrate how floating my skirt tail was :)
The goats and pretty blossoms come from my granny's back yard. At the moment we are enjoying summer to the max and I will soon write about our bike hike, too.

Eelmine nädal oli taas meie suur sünnipäevanädal! Kõigepealt tähistasin mina oma viimast kahekümnendates sünnipäeva Hirvepargis piknikul. Küpsetasin õhulise biskviidi-vahukoore-kohupiima tordi, mille kaunistasin maasikatega ja šokolaadikeerudega. Olin enda üle ikka väga uhke, sest küpsetan ma haruharva ja tulem oli niivõrd ilus, isuäratav ja ülimaitsev! Peale tordi tegin veel peedi-sinihallitusjuustu muffineid ja erinevaid dipikastmeid (hummus, guacamole ja hapukoore küüslaugu), mille kõrvale pakkusin igasuguseid snäkke.
Sünnipäev oli ka hea põhjus näidata ja pildistada kleiti, mille mõni aeg tagasi õmblesin. Triibulise trikotaazi leidin oma kangalaost ja idee sain Pinterestist. Lõikeks kasutasin oma t-särki, mida visuaalselt pikendasin , kaelaava viimistlesin lõikekohase kandiga ja ääred sik-sakitasin.
Minu abikaasa pidas oma sünnipäeva traditsiooniliselt rannas, Sellel aastal oli terve ranna äär tihedalt võililli täis, kasutasin juhust ja punusin suve esimese pärja! Ilmaga vedas tohutult, palju päikest ja vaid õige pisut vihma. Kõik rohetab ja tänavatel on magus õite hõng, oleme väga õnnelikud, et meil on aasta kõige ilusamal ajal sünnipäev!

Last week was our great birthday-week! Firstly I celebrated my last twenties birthday on a picnic at Hirvepark. I baked an airy biscuit-whipped-cream-curd cake, which I decorated with strawberries and chocolate swirls. I was very proud of myself, because I rarely bake and the result was beautiful and delicious! Besides the cake I also made beetroot and blue cheese muffins and different dip sauces (hummus, guacamole and sour cream-garlic), which I served with several snacks.
Birthday was a great reason for showing and taking pictures of a dress I sewed some time ago. The striped stretched fabric I found in my own fabric stock and the idea came from Pinterest. I used my t-shirt which I lengthened visually to make the cut. I finished the neckline with a cut-appropriate border and zig-zaged the hemline.
My husband celebrated his birthday traditionally at the beach. This year the coastline was filled with dandelions so I took the opportunity to weave this summers first corona! We were lucky to have a sunny weather and very little rain. Everything is green and the streets are filled with sweet aroma of blooming blossoms, we are lucky to have birthdays in the most wonderful time of the year!

Pikal lihavõtete nädalavahetusel viibisime maal. Nautisime loodust enda ümber ja tegime palju aiatööd. Grillisime esimest korda sel aastal, tegime sauna ja loomulikult värvisime mune. Nii mõnus, tõeline lõõgastus...
Kevad toob lisaks loodusele ka söögilauale palju erksaid värve. Kerged ja lihtsad toidud vahetavad välja talvemenüü ja järjest enam tuleb turule müügile uut värsket kraami. Uusi retsepte uurides tuli isu valmistada porgandi püreesuppi ja kreveti-avokaado-mango salatit.
Aeg-ajalt tegelen ka suvise garderoobi täiendamisega. Leidsin oma kangakuhilast hästi langeva ja õhukese kangajupi, mida oli just nii palju, et üks maksiseelik õmmelda. Tegu on väga lihtsa A-lõikega, mis on ülevalt veidi kroogitud ja kummpaelale kinnitatud. Lihtsale lõikele vastandub põnev op-muster. Kui just jälle taevast lörtsi ei saja, lähen kindlasti uue seelikuga eputama.

We were in countryside during the long Easter weekend. We enjoyed the nature around us and did lots of garden work. We barbecued for the first time this year, went to the sauna and dyed eggs, of course. Total chill, fun relaxation.
In addition to the nature, spring also brings lots of colors to the dining table. Light foods replace the winter menu and there is more and more fresh stuff in the markets. I browsed some new recipes and had the appetite for carrot puree soup and shrimp-avocado-mango salad.
From time to time I supplement my summer wardrobe. I searched my fabric stash and found just the right amount of sheer cloth for me to sew a maxi skirt. It has a simple A-line cut which is gathered from the top and attached to a rubber band. The simple cut is opposed by an exciting op-pattern. If it's not raining sleet, I will surely be showing off my new skirt.

Nädalavahetust täis linnulaulu ja päikesepaistet. Nii mõnus on iga päev avastada uusi kevadetunnuseid: lumikellukesed, ratturid, õueterrassid :)
Valmistasin soolaleivakingiks köögirätikud, st, et lõikasin kangast parajad tükid, palistasin servad ja õmblesin sobiva pitsi äärde. Tulemuseks kevadised ja rõõmsavärvilised pilgupüüdjad köögis ! Koolivaheajal püüan kindlati veel midagi valmis õmmelda, ideid on Pinterestis kõvasti kogutud ja kangad juba ootavad. Tulbid said vaasi ja laud kaetud Naistpäeva puhul!

Weekend full of bird song and sunshine. Feels good to discover more and more signs of spring each day - snowdrops, bikers, outdoor terraces.. :)
I prepared kitchen towels as a house warming gift, meaning I cut proper sized pieces out of fabric, hemmed the edges and sew a matching lace. The results are in the kitchen - springy and happy-colored eye-catchers !
During school holidays I will definitely try to sew something more. I have gathered lots of ideas from Pinterest and the fabrics are waiting. We put the tulips into vase and laid the table for Women's Day!
